People from all walks of like make excellent foster carers.
Whatever their background or experience, they need one crucial quality; the ability to understand and meet the needs of looked after children and young people. Our whole assessment process is therefore geared to finding people with these special qualities to give our children the best possible care.
We ensure a high quality threshold by ensuring all aspects of the assessment process are covered by qualified SFS social workers. We keep all our assessments in house ensuring a consistent approached and only selecting the best applicants. All prospective carers and staff have the time and space to complete their work together using the nationally recognised BAAF assessment format.
