Supervising Social Worker – Foster Care for Children and Young People with Disabilities
£32,000 - £38,000, plus pension, car scheme and benefits
Join us to drive forward our disability service. Building on the existing foundations you will
have core responsibility for training, assessing and supporting foster carers, with scope to
develop and shape direction. The service is dedicated to caring for children and young
people with disabilities in a safe, caring family environment.
You are a highly motivated child care practitioner with experience of working with children
and young people with a disability, but not necessarily in the field of fostering, who is able is
embrace innovation and contribute to agency development with full support and resources
from the team and management.
Supervising Social Worker – Fostering (1x full time
post, 1x maternity from May)

Join our team recruiting, assessing and supporting foster carers. Above all you will be a
skilled, dedicated, childcare practitioner, comfortable with direct contact with children and
their carers in implementing childcare plans.
This post offers the opportunity to make a real difference, improving outcomes for children
within managed caseloads. At SFS the social worker’s role involves direct work with
children in order to best represent their needs and wishes as well as the recruitment,
assessment and support of foster carers.
